Meet our Staff

Harking from Allenwood, New Jersey, my interest in the outdoors grew from an early age of having to do chores or otherwise remain unfound in the woods and trails surrounding our house. I would get home from school and get outside before my mom could wrangle me in to folding clothes or emptying the dishwasher. This escape spurred a grave interest and comfort in nature.

My parents were hard working and hard loving, and those lessons I learned of how I wanted my work life and love life still emanate from my being today. Fast forward through dabbling in sports, being a Marine, investment banking and encountering many tuition costs outside of college, I landed in Utah, a place that was unconsciously my true home from birth, but I was not aware of it until 1996.

It is said that no great man comes from clean clothes and a flush bank account and I very much resemble that. For the thousands of lives I have positively affected, I have burnt many bridges, started over from scratch more than a few times, and stood with tears before my wife and son at the brink of failure. The gift I received as a child in the New Jersey woods has been the most relentless gift of my life - and I thank my wife Catrin for creating the space for me to embrace nature, truly experiencing and knowing that it constantly sends us messages and if we listen to nature we can better understand our self.
