Technical Canyoneering in Zion National Park requires permits through the National Park Service, proper equipment, and a high level of proficiency in canyoning skillsets.
Self-Guided Canyoneering is extremely dangerous without the proper knowledge, gear and skillsets. If you are unsure of your ability please consider a canyoneering course with Zion Guru.

Wetsuit Use and Rental Liability
A $300 credit card authorization (or $300 cash) deposit is required to rent the wetsuit.
These are European canyoning wetsuits that are designed specifically for your use, but you must have skill. You can not expect the suit to get you through the canyon. If you damage the suit, you will be charged a minimum of $20.00/square inch of damage. Any damage exceeding 5 square inches or ANY torn seams, or abrasions that pierce the nylon and expose the rubber will be subject to your entire $300 security authorization being charged for damages.
Normal wear and tear only include surface abrasion on the nylon that causes fuzzing only. Any piercing of the nylon is subject to the above charges.
Your wetsuit must be inspected upon return. If you drop your suit without our staff first inspecting it, you may lose your entire security deposit.
It is in your best interest to wear at least a Butt Protector on your wetsuit, or otherwise wear hiking pants and a shirt over the wetsuit to protect it. If you do not have appropriate layers to wear over the suit, please ask an outfitter about our rental cover layers.
Above canyoneer chose NOT to wear hiking pants and shirt over his wetsuit. The abrasive sandstone of local canyons can destroy your and our gear quickly. Please wear layers over your wetsuit to avoid hefty damage fees.
This canyoneer is wearing old hiking pants and sun shirt over their wetsuit, which significantly reduces the chance of tearing it, and significantly helps your wallet by preventing hefty damage charges.
Even in summer, deep canyons can hold cold water where even short exposure can lead to hypothermia.

We have size ranges from a small child to adult XXL. There is no need to reserve a size ahead of time, we will get you fitted with the proper harness in-shop.
