Zion Guru Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 50% payment deposit will be required to book your event.

2. Trip and Rental Cancellations are free up to 7 days prior to your trip date.

3. Full payment is due 30 days prior to your scheduled trip date.

4. Any change within the 7 days window are subject to the policies outlined below for your respective reservation type.

5. Government restrictions limiting or restricting travel will automatically make you eligible for a full refund if cancellation is triggered prior to the 7 days window. Refund requests within the 7 day window will follow the below standards regardless of cancellation circumstances.

Rentals

Your rental is fully refundable up to 7 days prior to your scheduled outfitting. Cancellations between 7 days and up to your rental start time receive a 80% refund and the balance of 20% is non-refundable. Cancellations triggered by Zion Guru due to safety or adverse weather will receive a full refund if the rental can not be agreeably rescheduled. *If you pick-up gear, choose not to use the rental and return it requesting a refund you will be charged a 20% outfitting fee and the other 80% can be refunded. We encourage trip insurance. We do not refund any travel-related costs you may incur to get to/from Zion Guru.

Day Trips

Your day event is fully refundable up to 7 days prior to your departure. Cancellations between 7 days and up to 2 days prior receive a 50% refund and the balance of 50% is non-refundable. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are non-refundable. Cancellations triggered by Zion Guru due to safety or adverse weather will receive a full refund if the event can not be agreeably rescheduled. We encourage trip insurance. We do not refund any travel-related costs you may incur to get to/from your designated Zion Guru pick-up location.

Change & Late Fees

Half Day

If you run more than 30 minutes late for your half-day trip scheduled departure time, you can convert your trip to a full-day if the guide is available, to “buy back” the missed time.

Full Day

If you run late for your full-day trip and miss your scheduled start time by more than 30 minutes, you can pay an additional fee of 1/8 of your original total trip cost per hour to “buy back” the missed time. Subject to your guide’s availability. This supplement helps compensate resource use and your guide’s additional time.

4-7 Days Prior To Arrival

A 10% change fee is charged for any change to trip time, quantity of participants, pick-up locations. For example: start time changing from 7am to 9am, or from morning to afternoon. If you need to reschedule to a different day, for example, change from Monday at 7am to Tuesday at 7am, there is a 25% change fee. All changes are subject to availability.

1-3 Days Prior To Arrival

Changes requested inside of 3 days of your already scheduled departure time are subject to a 50% change fee.

Multi-Day Trips, Retreats or Workshops

A 50% deposit secures your multi-day trip more than 60 days before your trip date. All multi-day trips require payment in full no later than 60 days prior to your trip date. Your multi-day event is fully refundable up to 91 days prior to your departure. Cancellations between 90 days and up to 61 days prior to the event start date receive a 50% refund and the balance of 50% is non-refundable. Cancellations within the 60-day window of the event start date are non-refundable. We encourage trip insurance. We do not refund any travel-related costs you may incur to get to/from your designated Zion Guru pick-up location.

Trailhead Shuttles

Your Zion Guru direct booked shuttle is fully refundable 72 hours in advance of your pick-up. Cancellations within 72 hours of your scheduled pick-up are non-refundable. Cancellations triggered by adverse weather, park closures, or poor weather will receive a full refund if the shuttle can not be agreeably rescheduled. In the event road conditions are unknown, but you insist upon trying to reach your chosen destination, no refunds or discounted rates will be given even if we can not reach your destination due to adverse conditions or safety hazards. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your departure time with all your equipment packed and ready to go. More than 15 minutes from your confirmed pick-up time due to late arrivals and unprepared group members will be charged an additional fee of $20.00 (payable cash only to the shuttle driver). Delays more than 45 minutes from your confirmed pick-up time may be subject to shuttle cancellation with no refund. *These trailhead shuttles are not available to access hikes for The Narrows, Angels Landing, Emerald Pools or any other hike located on The Scenic Drive, while the Zion Shuttle Bus is operating. Our driving access is restricted.*
