Lead Guide/Scenic Hiking

I grew up in Utah at the mouth of Big and Little Cottonwood canyons. Skiing the Wasatch front, hitch hiking up and down the canyon. There were no buses back then. I found freestyle skiing in my teens and joined the Western Amateur freestyle Association. Competing in Ariels and moguls. At 18 I decided to leave freestyle skiing and go steep and deep. No better place than the Wasatch front for vertical and great snow.

Growing up I remember my summers camping at Lake Powell. Water skiing the glassy water and in awe of those canyon walls. An exciting adventure was hiking up to Rainbow bridge and repelling down onto Rainbow bridge. It was a real thing back then.

Some other hobbies of mine include playing piano, guitar, reading, fly fishing, biking, yoga and meditation. My soul has always been called to find purpose "Clarity of purpose exposes the foundation of the inner heart." I have spent decades studying mediation through TM. I traveled to Fairfield Iowa to attend MIU University, studying the advanced Sidha courses. I have found my studies now with the Inca Shaman teachings of Matchu Picchu, Peru Energy in motion within.

Keeping my spirit of adventure and exploration alive. As a mother and grandmother I have loved all the trials, tribulations unconditional love and JOY that it brings. Teaching, guiding, learning, changing, growing gave me purpose. Spending time sharing experiences in the great outdoors has been my greatest joy. This led to my Kid outdoor adventure camp and ski nanny at Deer Valley. A business I created which allowed me to continue teaching children for the next 20 years.

I still love the snow and turning my ski’s. A passion for the great outdoors lives on in me. Coming to Zion in 2019 from Park City Utah was a decision for the love of family. Little did I know I would land inside the family of Zion Guru. I started in the shop outfitting in 2020. Wow what a year!! Lake Powell canyoneering that year was out of this world in adrenaline endurance team work and perseverance. Zion Guru has a way of creating these amazing experiences that help me face the Fear and do it anyway. The magic and energy of the canyon quickly drew me to guiding. Sharing my love of the canyon through experiences, with the Rock stories/Geology, Wind Language/History, Water the softest most powerful force/Erosion and Breath, all of which fills my soul. Zion keeps me young and living in timelessness. GRATEFUL
